On Saturday, July 21st, Chris and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary!! It was a really nice day. We went with the girls to the driving range and whacked at a couple buckets of balls. Then my parents took the girls for the rest of the night and Chris and I went into Tonopah (45 minutes away) for a Mexican dinner and did some grocery shopping (romantic, I know!!) It was so nice to sit together and not have to cut anyone else's food and just reconnect as husband and wife! It gets challenging to do things just together as we're mostly busy with the girls and once again we're in a small town with not a lot to do for "grown ups". So we make the most of it and try to do stuff when we go out of town. Most of the time we have the girls with us but they're pretty good and can sit through a nice dinner or a movie!! I have to say this year of our marriage was a good one! So far, my favourite! Last year we were dealing alot with the stresses of moving which was really hard on our marriage but we made it through and our marriage was strengthened. But this year was fun!
Alyssa had another horse riding lesson yesterday and she did awesome! Her teacher set up 3 barrels and Alyssa learned how to go around them like they do in rodeo's! She was guiding the horse around them all by herself and was trotting in between the barrels!!! You could hear her coming down the pen, bouncing on all the saddle saying "Weeeeeee!!!!" So she's having a blast and I had to make her get off the horse!
Next week our church is holding VBS. I'm helping with that and the girls will both be going. Should be a good time! Then the week after that I head up to Calgary with my mom and my girls for my cousins wedding! I'm so excited to see family and Robbie and Ashley will be coming too so that's 1 of my 3 siblings I get to see again!!
Anywho.....I better get my butt of the computer!! I gotta make perogies from scratch for Bunco night! My mom's hosting it and it's Canadian themed!! I know perogies aren't a Canadian food but they don't know what they are down here and every big meal in Snow Lake consisted of them so to me, they're Canadian!! Have a good week everyone!

Woohoo Happy Belated Anniversary, you guys! Glad you had a nice evening out! :) And as for the grocery shopping, well, sometimes even those moments are the best ones when you can do them in peace.. LOL!
Happy Anniversary. Wow, 6 years already.
And very cool that Alyssa is learning to ride horses. That was always a dream of mine.
I can't believe it's been six years since we stood beside you and Chris as you vowed love to each other for life...That day was HOT!!!!!!!! Love you guys and we are so glad that things are going so well for you down there. Isn't it amazing how trust and love can lead you to a place you would have never thought of when you started out. I'm trying to remember that now that Jeff's starting to get serious about looking for new work.
This is so totally kind of off-topic it just might work.
Greetings from a Canadian. An Albertan Canadian. Where the perogies run wild and roam free!
I am part of a group of people that are going to meeting around Reno, Nevada during the first week of June and this one girl (from Calgary no less) has this wild idea of doing what you did, a perogy supper! The problem is bringing them over the border. We're on motorcycles and they don't travel well. Or even through. You know how security is with food these days, weirdness prevails.
Any idea where I can find any or get some shipped from somewhere else to an address in Nevada?
I told you it was weird.
If you've got ideas, send me an email at rigneer@gmail.com
