On Saturday, July 21st, Chris and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary!! It was a really nice day. We went with the girls to the driving range and whacked at a couple buckets of balls. Then my parents took the girls for the rest of the night and Chris and I went into Tonopah (45 minutes away) for a Mexican dinner and did some grocery shopping (romantic, I know!!) It was so nice to sit together and not have to cut anyone else's food and just reconnect as husband and wife! It gets challenging to do things just together as we're mostly busy with the girls and once again we're in a small town with not a lot to do for "grown ups". So we make the most of it and try to do stuff when we go out of town. Most of the time we have the girls with us but they're pretty good and can sit through a nice dinner or a movie!! I have to say this year of our marriage was a good one! So far, my favourite! Last year we were dealing alot with the stresses of moving which was really hard on our marriage but we made it through and our marriage was strengthened. But this year was fun!
Alyssa had another horse riding lesson yesterday and she did awesome! Her teacher set up 3 barrels and Alyssa learned how to go around them like they do in rodeo's! She was guiding the horse around them all by herself and was trotting in between the barrels!!! You could hear her coming down the pen, bouncing on all the saddle saying "Weeeeeee!!!!" So she's having a blast and I had to make her get off the horse!
Next week our church is holding VBS. I'm helping with that and the girls will both be going. Should be a good time! Then the week after that I head up to Calgary with my mom and my girls for my cousins wedding! I'm so excited to see family and Robbie and Ashley will be coming too so that's 1 of my 3 siblings I get to see again!!
Anywho.....I better get my butt of the computer!! I gotta make perogies from scratch for Bunco night! My mom's hosting it and it's Canadian themed!! I know perogies aren't a Canadian food but they don't know what they are down here and every big meal in Snow Lake consisted of them so to me, they're Canadian!! Have a good week everyone!

Alyssa and Bud!
This morning Alyssa had her first horse back riding lesson and loved it!! She did really well too for it being her first time! At the end of the lesson she was even doing a jog! She'll be taking lessons once a week and I don't think it will be too long before she's galloping! Here are some pictures of her and Bud getting to know each other!

Of course, Brooklyn had to have a ride too!

Tattoo ideas!

Ok so the pictures are sooo small but it's as good as I could get off the website but this what I'm thinking for my new tattoo! I went to tattoojohnny.com to look at images and that's where these are from so if you want a better look, you could go there! I want to get a butterfly with something coming off the side (hearts, stars, vine, etc) to put on my lower back. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them! If it's about not getting one, too late.....I already have 2!!!

We're home!!!
Well 4700 miles and 64 hours later we made it to Snow Lake and back home!! We had an awesome time and loved seeing our friends and family back in Manitoba. The girls traveled so well. It helped having grandma on the way there but they still did really well on the way home! The traveling was pretty uneventful.....no van problems, no tickets, lots of smoke from the forest fires and lots of road work!! We never made any stops on the way to Snow Lake but made our way down to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore on the way home. We always went to some crystal caves, Old McDonald Petting Farm, The Reptile Gardens and Bear Country USA. It was really busy that day but we had a blast.

We were in Snow Lake for a week but that wasn't enough time to get all the visiting in. The weather wasn't very cooperative either! We saw ALOT of people at the July 1st Social but it was hard to actually visit and unfortunately that was the only time we got to see some old friends. We were able to see some more of my family in Winnipeg on our way home which was nice. Now here are a bunch of pictures of our time in Snow Lake with our friends and family!
